TalkTorahToMe.CAFE. –Our Speech Can Be A Lethal Weapon or A Means to Salvation.

During the Month of Elul, Stay The Course!

LEV 19:16-18

16 Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour; I am the Lord.

17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.

18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.

loshon hará ~ evil speech

…is language that does harm to another. Loshon hara is a profane use of the tongue, language that does harm to other nations and people. Loshon Hara is speech – a wicked and perverse form of lspeech that harms our own futures and threatens our destiny- neutralizing and undermining our power in prayer.

We are very familiar with lotion hara, even though we may have never heard it called by that name. We’ve seen the devastation it causes to another person’s spirit. It’s very familiar.

During this Month of Elul, (August 20 – September 17)

…We are going to keep our eye on our tongues…standing the watch over our own speech. No form of evil speech will escape our tongue. No gossip, no murmuring, so chiding or complaining, no slandering, no rebukes, no grudges, no insults, no toxic or poisonous language of any kind.

We will not allow our personal Panina’s to provoke us while we are on our spiritual journey to the Temple of GOD (1 Samuel). During the Month of Elul, we are on a mission!

We are doing this for a few reasons:

  • We are determined to elevate spiritually to a new level.
  • Our speech can elevate us or block us in regards to our ability to obtain that higher level.
  • Our words have power, (It’s time to really believe that). and that power can only be released through holy speech.
  • Our speech is the foundation of all of our prayers and…
  • Your prayers are essential. People need your prayers. Your neighbor needs your prayer, right now. Your prayers can mend the World.

Man was Created a Speaking Spirit...

We discussed this last year in setting the stage for our classes. (Highlights of that teaching can be found in MAN IS A SPEAKING SPIRIT )

Gen 2.7 “And the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and He breathed into his nostrils the soul of life, and man became a living soul.

You will recall, the portion of the verse that reads “man became a living soul” actually reads, man became a speaking spirit.

It is right in this moment that the speech of mankind became Holy.

Your speech is meant to be Holy, to Glorify GOD, to Bless and not curse, to edify and encourage, to tear down (strongholds) and to build up (each other), and so much more good than we can ever imagine!

Our words (and prayers) have no limitations in the spirit. We’ve seen what our words can do in the natural. How much more could they accomplish when we consecrate our words and prayers to GOD?

What makes language holy is that it was given by GOD only to mankind. If we take something as pure and Holy as Language, our gift from GOD, and use it in a profane manner; to hurt, condemn, criticize, offend, destroy, etc. then we corrupt GOD’s language and disrespect GOD.

Gen 2:15 “And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.”

“to dress it and to keep it” from the Hebrew Language is “to avad, to serve and to keep watch, guard/protect. Ref: Adam was not in Agriculture…

Our ears (as Christians) are atuned to hearing, “to dress it and keep it” for so long that we might miss the charge of what GOD really assigned Adam to do.

No where else in scripture is there support for an understanding that Adam was a horticulturist, agriculturalist, etc.

When I speak of this to some students, they feel like the word of GOD is being rewritten before their eyes and it’s very hard to process.

Was Adam a Worshipper or a Farmer?

Was his responsibility to guard and protect the anointing, to praise and worship, to draw closer to GOD? Or to grow plants and vegetables?

What we do find support for in scripture is that Adam was a worshipper, his service was to GOD. That his job was to guard and protect the anointing, that he was to protect GOD’s creation, all of it. (Disobedience affected his ability to carry our his assignment too).

Adam had work to do, certainly. But it was a spiritual kind of work in service to GOD, Avodah. Avodah has been interpreted in scripture as physical work. What I want to focus on instead, is our first work. Before caring for fields and gardens. Before building and creating and inventing.

We have the assignment to build and create with our words.

Getting our speech back in right alignment to GOD, is going to make all the difference in the level of effectiveness and fervency of our prayers.

How far we can go walking in the anointing will all begin and depend with our speech.

Mankind is a speaking spirit. Our words have spiritual impact. GOD created the world through the spoken word. Our speech can build up or tear down this creation.

Speak life and live.

PRAYER JOURNAL PAGES FOR ELUL —THE NEXT LEVEL IN PRAYER

It’s Time to Get Strategic…

For the next month (a.k.a 33 days) you are going to log each prayer request you receive…

You will set your prayer(s) in a watch of the day or night. (See handouts) We will each be making a consecration to stand that specific watch in prayer. In the beginning… you might not stand the entire 3 hour watch, or you might. You choose.

Praying the Psalms will cause your Watch to pass quickly!

All teachings on this page have their roots in The Language of Prayer

Prayer Journal Pages through 2023 available: Click Here

Read the Psalm… Pray the Psalm

Decree and Declare the Psalm out loud.

The enclosed handout contains a breakdown of the Prayer Watches. I believe you will gain more out of this exercise if you don’t focus on all the details of the prayer watch right now. We can fill in that information for you later.

For those of you who have taken this class with me before, you have a head start! For those of you who have not, just pick a watch… that you can honor and maintain through the next 33 days. Your prayer times can certainly shift based on the day of the week, that’s OK.

The important thing is to keep the commitment for prayer that you make…this is your consecration to Heaven. The flexibility is all in your hands and your words.

Write down your commitment in time to whichever prayer watch or watches you will keep. As your prayer request come in, set them / log them for the watch you have set. Jot down the key details so that you remember what you are carrying to prayer.

Can You Keep the Secrets of GOD?

When someone ask you to pray for them, you do not need to tell 10 people. Keep the confidence of the LORD. When GOD sends us someone to pray for, we want to keep their info private and hold on to them as if they are the treasures of GOD Himself. Prayer is a sacred trust and we want to handle them all in a very careful way.

Be as cryptic as you like. Only you need to know what the request is! Keep the request in a safe place (in your bible if you like) just keep them in a place of honor, respect and a secure place where you can reach them.

Prayer takes time. The objective is to watch over your prayers…not to forget the commitments we make in prayer…and hold on till the breakthrough (which could be longer than 33 days).

Because we each will be in agreement over the next 33 days, praying the psalms and the Lord’s Prayer together (in Hebrew), we are believing in the unity of the faith to carry us into this next level.

Get Ready… The power of agreement is incredible…and we shall see the manifestation of our prayers!

Enjoy! Amen.

Read them, meditate on them, listen to the wisdom of GOD. Obey them, especially those you find particularly difficult. Your breakthrough or the breakthrough you are seeking for others could very well be locked inside.

You will experience spiritual attack during this time, especially if you are endeavoring to cast out some giants in your land. Attacks are just a message that you are on the right track!

Press In!

There’s enough Giants in the Land Already!!! Don’t Create Your Own Giants to Fight. Be Mindful of the Words You Are Speaking.

ELUL, A DAVID KIND OF PRAYER…

It was through the 50 days of continuos prayer of the disciples, that the Church was birth out at Pentecost. It was through prayer that David birth out the Kingdom, and left the Psalms as a legacy to the faith.

Prayer is All About Us.

You’ve heard me say before that prayer is about becoming a “miraculous marksman in the spirit realm.” Prayer is target oriented. We have to find our voice in prayer and become very specific, developing a targeted prayer strategy.

We each deal with our good inclination and our evil inclination

The difficulty with prayer, is that prayer makes you feel vulnerable, even in the privacy of your own self. Prayer is self examination and self examination is very uncomfortable. What will our prayers reveal about our own character and nature?

Initially, we may begin by bringing many outside concerns before the throne, but in the end, we wind up seeing inwardly. It is the inward man or woman…. our inward soul that we come to face.

We face our own souls and we face our own hearts, even in our prayers for others.

Judging oneself is an inescapable process of prayer.

Before arriving at the heart of prayer, we have to navigate pass our flesh, our pride, our idle thoughts and vain imaginations. In the beginning, all of this may feel like a spiritual obstacle course of sorts. If that is the case for you, I encourage you to press in. You are on the right course.

Pressing in means, that we have to find the strength to fight the distractions that bombard our mind. We have to wake up, and deal with our inner most thoughts and emotions that attempt to derail our soul from advancing and elevating toward GOD.

Keep this thought in mind when you struggle to stay in prayer longer than your usual 10 or 15 minutes?… longer than your usual 60 minutes?….. longer than your usual 2-3 hours?

What revelation will I discover if I press further in to prayer? What will I prevent myself from knowing if I tap out too soon?

The Full Measure and Stature of Christ Jesus

Prayer opens our hearts to see into our own image and likeness. I have heard many people give reasons why this level of examination is sufficient for them. But, to be IN CHRIST, our goal is to attain toward the image and likeness of GOD.

Many times we hear each other say, we want to get into a higher place in GOD… or we want to achieve that next level in GOD. It can be found in pressing pass that place of normalcy in prayer. In many ways, we can come to set our own individualized customs and traditions and limitations in prayer.

The daily rewards of breaking the boundaries, are awareness and sensitivity to the limitations of our own character and nature, and the desire to put on the character and nature of GOD.

… In this series of teachings on prayer, my goal is to communicate and demonstrate through scripture, that the most critical aspect of our prayer life is the time that we spend in solitude before GOD in prayer.

  • Not praying on the prayer line.
  • Not praying with the friend who called us for prayer.
  • Not praying with the prayer team.
    • THESE ARE SECONDARY TO OUR NEED FOR PERSONAL DEVOTIONAL TIME

This Next Level is a assessment of your personal, devotional, consecrated, dedicated, uninterrupted, I Will NOT allow anything to interfere with it…Prayer Time.

Consider this: For anyone that has traveled on an airplane, the safety instructions always caution you that in the event of a crisis, when oxygen bags are released, you place the oxygen on yourself first…then you assist the child or the person next to you that requires assistance.

We have to protect our own prayer life first before we can help anyone with theirs. We have to become prayer, before we can pray for others fervently and effectively.

Yes, we can get by without it. Of course we can. And yes, GOD is faithful even when we are not faithful in prayer.

But that’s a lower level that will not get you to the next level you are seeking, if you are really seeking it.

You have to be like David and become prayer!

That character and nature of GOD that we are striving for… comes with prayer. Prayer increases spiritual insight, discernment, revelation, healing anointing, and every gifting of GOD.

Storms are everywhere on the horizon, no matter where you look. Politically, environmentally, socially, economically, biologically…

What do you want to be your area of expertise in the anointing? You choose.

I Am Prayer!

“Ani tephillah” (ah-knee tuh-fee-lah)

David’s enemies were relentless and powerful. He was feeling oppressed and hemmed in. Yet, before he went on recounting his dilemmas, he stopped abruptly and proclaimed….

Yet, David knew something that had not even been spoken of in scripture yet…

That He had access to “POWER ABOVE ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY” and he proclaimed!

I am Prayer!

It’s like he stopped for a moment and remembered who he was, really!

He had a, “Don’t make me lay down here on the floor all night and pray!, ’cause I will do it!… kind of moment.

“I WILL REINVENT THIS ENTIRE SITUATION THROUGH PRAYER!”

“TAKE THIS MEMO, WRITE THIS DOWN AND POST IT IN EVERY PRINCIPALITY AND POWER, REGION, THRONE, DIMENSION, AND DOMINION…” KIND OF PRAYER!

“I WILL REACH BACK IN THE PAST AND MAKE EVERY CROOKED PLACE STRAIGHT, BY THE POWER OF GOD… KIND OF PRAYER!”

THE..NEITHER RAIN NOR DEW SHALL FALL, EXCEPT BY MY WORD…KIND OF PRAYER!

THE “IT’S ALREADY BEEN DONE…” KIND OF PRAYER!

THE..”IF I BE A WOMAN OF GOD, THEN ABC… XYZ SHALL OCCUR…” KIND OF PRAYER!

THE “IF I BE A MAN OF GOD, THEN ABC… XYZ SHALL OCCUR…” KIND OF PRAYER!

THE “RELEASE THE RAIN…”, KIND OF PRAYER!

THE “GOD WILL COME FOR MY WORD TO PERFORM IT”…KIND OF PRAYER!

THE “I COULD CARE LESS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE…” KIND OF PRAYER!

THE “I FORBID IT, IN THE NAME OF JESUS…KIND OF PRAYER!

THE “I WILL PRAY THE DEVIL BACK DOWN IN TO THE PIT OF HELL…” KIND OF PRAYER

IN JESUS NAME. AMEN.

There is NOTHING that You Can Not Handle in Prayer!

PART 3 The Spirit of Witchcraft —One of the Works of the Flesh

continued from Part 2

Why Consult with the Witch at Endor?

King Saul did this in order to pacify his fear, in order to justify his suspicion, in order to pacify his own rebellion, against God.

He resorts to consulting the witch at Endor a familiar spirit. Consulting by means outside of God. Saul only needed to humble himself and repent to open the door that would usher him back into the presence of God. He was still operating in self. Stuck in rebellion and stubbornness.

We see this in 1 Samuel 28:6

6And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.

In other words, God was giving him a message by not speaking to him. His glorious presence had departed from him and God allowed it to instigate repentance.

WAS SAUL SEEING HIMSELF FOR WHO HE REALLY WAS???

Was Saul oblivious to the fact that he was in disobedience?

It’s very possible to be so stuck that we deceive our own selves.

Saul was in total denial that God had departed from him and was insistent on getting a word from the Lord.

So, Saul is going to create his own message.

So often this is what happens when the body of Christ becomes susceptible and tempted with witchcraft in the competition of fellow servants of Christ.

It begins with denial toward the truth.

And wanting to imagine God is saying something he did not say and is not saying. And that is exactly what happened to Saul in this instance.

2 Samuel 1:1-27

FIRST there is a concept to take note of here…

When GOD gives you an assignment, AND you know what it is AND you are not confused about the instructions. You perfectly understand…

Know this:  The assignments that you fail to accomplish when it comes to the enemies of God, have a way of resurfacing.

In other words, you can send yourself back around the mountain, because you failed to accomplish the task the last time!

Except this time you are contending with spirits that are stronger (because you have made them stronger by your rebellion and disobedience).  They’re objective was always to remove you from your place…now even more so!

Obedience is Better than Sacrifice.

The Amalekite King that Saul did not destroy in one of his moments of disobedience, believing he knew what was best on his own accord, instead of following the orders he was given by God.

HE THOUGHT HE HAD A BETTER PLAN THAN THE PLAN GIVEN TO HIM BY GOD

His actions caused the Amalekite’s to resurface in the book of Esther. It was also an Amalekite that finished him off after he fell on his own sword. What sword? The very disobedience he walked in took his own life.

Remember that Prophet Samuel asked King Saul, “Did you do the Lord’s commandment?”, and King Saul replied that he had done the Lord’s commandment.

Saul had not completed the assignment the way he was commanded to do. Saul did it his way and opened the door to a spirit that every generation continues fight.

Every child with siblings has learned the hard way, that their disobedience/rebellion has the potential of causing the same behavior in their siblings.   Every rebellious friends goal is to get you to participate in their wicked behavior.  Point being: this type of behavior leaves another to have to pick up the bondage and fight the same battle again.

Someone has to slay the dragon!  If it’s your assignment, and you refuse to do it or you only do the part you want to do, then you leave another to finish the job.  You may even subject them to more spiritual dangers and stronger enemies because you chose not to finish your spiritual assignment.

The spirit of Amalek.

2 Samuel 1:1-27. The consequences of cooling off in one’s service to God.

Now it came to pass after the death of Saul, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Amalekites, and David had abode two days in Ziklag;

1 Samuel 30:1-31 Ziklag had been attacked by the Amalekites. David pursues them across the Negev Desert and defeats them –and rovers all, including his two wives.

Meanwhile, King Saul fights the phillistines in Mt Gilboa 1 Samuel 31:1-3

It came even to pass on the third day, that, behold, a man came out of the camp from Saul with his clothes rent, and earth upon his head: and so it was, when he came to David, that he fell to the earth, and did obeisance.

And David said unto him, From whence comest thou? And he said unto him, Out of the camp of Israel am I escaped.

A prisoner of Israel – from the battle with the Amalekites.

Consult your bible maps. note the position of Jezreel vs Mt Gilboa

And David said unto him, How went the matter? I pray thee, tell me. And he answered, That the people are fled from the battle, and many of the people also are fallen and dead; and Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also.

And David said unto the young man that told him, how knowest thou that Saul and Jonathan his son be dead?

And the young man that told him said, As I happened by chance upon mount Gilboa, behold, Saul leaned upon his spear; and, lo, the chariots and horsemen followed hard after him.

The spirit of Amalek always insist everything happens by chance… there is no design, destiny or providence of GOD.

Note: King Saul was fighting the Phillistines on Mt Gilboa 1 Sam 28:4, David was fighting the Amalekites at that time.

And when he looked behind him, he saw me, and called unto me. And I answered, here am I.

The Amalekites were generational enemies of Israel. This Amalekite wants King David to believe he “just happened to be passing through a battle with Israel and the Phillistines?” Is he just waiting in the cut to see how the battle will turn out?

And he said unto me, Who art thou? And I answered him, I am an Amalekite.

And I am proud to declare and will not hide the fact that “I am Amalekite”. (Grandson of Esau, ever present enemy to Israel, known for their audacity) Ex 17:14 GOD will blot out the name of Amalek, Deut 25:17 Amalek did not fear GOD;

He said unto me again, Stand, I pray thee, upon me, and slay me: for anguish is come upon me, because my life is yet whole in me.

…”and Saul asked me to kill him

Amalek’s primary tactic is to sneak up from behind, to attack the weak, the lame, the young, the aged, the infirm, when they are too weak to lift up their own hands in defense… Deut 25:17, Ex 17:8-16

10 So I stood upon him, and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen: and I took the crown that was upon his head, and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them hither unto my lord.

… so when Saul is weak, you can stand up..

so I did as he asked, and then I took his crown and bracelet. (If I meant to do you and Israel honor, wouldn’t I have brought back his body for burial?

Note: This Amalekite who was being held by the Israelites is somehow at Mt Gilboa with King Saul on the battlefield, just passing through?

Was he escaped from the camp of the defeated Israelites at Mt Gilboa and heard about the defeat of the Amalekites before David?

Was he an Amalekite who just happened to be passing by the battlefield of King Saul & the Phillistines?

Was he an Amalekite who heard about the defeat of his people before David and went to the battlefield of King Saul and the Phillistines in order to cut off the weak and injured? Collecting the spoils of war?

Why is an Amalekite on the battlefield with the Phillistines?

11 Then David took hold on his clothes, and rent them; and likewise all the men that were with him:

(So, here you are David…a gift for the next King of Israel that we will destroy)

12 And they mourned, and wept, and fasted until even, for Saul, and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of the Lord, and for the house of Israel; because they were fallen by the sword.

13 And David said unto the young man that told him, Whence art thou? And he answered, I am the son of a stranger, an Amalekite.

I am ger… one who will sojourn in your land..inhabit the land, dwell here, abide (with hostile intent?), bring fear, remain in the land… ger (guwr) someone without original rights; Amalek had a lot to lose when Israel came out of captivity. They were occupying Israels land during their 400 years in captivity. They were not interested in seeing Israel set free.

an Amalekite – stated for the 2nd time Scripture repeats itself twice when we are supposed to be paying attention. (there is a bit of pride in this declaration)

14 And David said unto him, How wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the Lord’s anointed?

GOD was internationally known for anointing his people, especially His Kings, Priests and Prophets…. there is no way a person in the bloodline of Esau would not know that Saul was anointed by GOD). Amalek did not fear GOD.

15 And David called one of the young men, and said, Go near, and fall upon him. And he smote him that he died.

David was not deceived. He saw, heard, perceived what was going on. The Amalekite was mocking GOD, the Children of Israel, the Kingdom and everything they stood for… David recognized the enemies of GOD and Israel. Would you know when the enemy is mocking GOD in your life?

Do you know when someones story does not add up?

16 And David said unto him, Thy blood be upon thy head; for thy mouth hath testified against thee, saying, I have slain the Lord’s anointed.

17 And David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and over Jonathan his son:

18 (Also he bade them teach the children of Judah the use of the bow: behold, it is written in the book of Jasher.)

19 The beauty of Israel is slain upon thy high places: how are the mighty fallen!

20 Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Askelon; lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.

21 Ye mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew, neither let there be rain, upon you, nor fields of offerings: for there the shield of the mighty is vilely cast away, the shield of Saul, as though he had not been anointed with oil.

22 From the blood of the slain, from the fat of the mighty, the bow of Jonathan turned not back, and the sword of Saul returned not empty.

23 Saul and Jonathan were lovely and pleasant in their lives, and in their death they were not divided: they were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions.

24 Ye daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you in scarlet, with other delights, who put on ornaments of gold upon your apparel.

25 How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! O Jonathan, thou wast slain in thine high places.

26 I am distressed for thee, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant hast thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.

27 How are the mighty fallen, and the weapons of war perished!

YOUR PRAYER LIFE IS… YOUR STRONGEST SPIRITUAL ASSET

While here on earth, Amalek sought to destroy the Israelites with a vengeance. His baseless hatred for Israel was shrouded in fear of Israel. Amalek never attempted to confront Israel face to face. That would have meant, taking on the tribe of Judah head-on (Ex 17). Why take on a lion when you can sneak up from behind and challenge the a cub… The Tribe of Dan…(whom they thought was a weak link).

The Tribe of Dan was the rearguard. Their job was to protect Israels treasures; the old, the young, the weak. 11 Tribes mounted the frontal defense and protected the flanks. Dan was the rearguard.

Note: When the children of Israel left Egypt, they were no way in the path of the territory of Amalek. Amalek pursued them when they had already passed by… a completely different path to Mt Sinai. And when did they attack? Right before the children of Israel were about to get their Word from GOD… Right before they were scheduled to receive their Word about their destiny.

If you find out who you are in GOD.. the enemy has a big problem. If Israel figured out that all of this territory that Amalek illegally inhabited really belonged to the children of Israel AND if they (the Children of Israel) ever got their fight back and remembered who they are/were…

Judah was already leading them to their promise… and Judah was not to be trifled with.

What they did not know is that Dan, was a Lion’s whelp… and if you have ever seen a lion’s cub play you would recognize that they are severely underestimated, have no idea that they are the smallest, love to wrestle and are always ready for the battle. Dan was quick like a viper and strong like a lion. Add prayer to the fight and they were unbeatable!

The spirit of Amalek continues their attempts to take out GOD’s Anointed. They are relentless. If they can get you so frustrated that you come out of prayer, curse, get angry, hold grudges, act out in rage, jealousy, nurse wounds, throw your hands down ( they have sufficiently weakened your hands in prayer).

If they can just poke at your heels, drag you down to a level where you are spiritually and emotionally broken, despondent, hopeless, feeling entitled and justified in your own behaviors… If Amalek can get you to operate in greed, pride, envy, strife, etc.

If they can get you to pick up the worlds weapons and put down the weapons of your warfare, then they have you in a headlock. Your hands become weak, you have no prayer life and you are subject to the enemy’s devices.

Prayer makes your hands strong… and in GOD’s Kingdom we need strong hands to war with in prayer! Hands Raised + Praise + Humility + GODs weapons= Power in Prayer ; means you win the battle!

Hands locked down and immobilized + use of the enemies weapons+ pride, lies, deceit etc.= no strength in prayer – You lose.

Rephidim ( Ex 17) means weakening of the hands. The children of Israel propelled themselves into a spiritual condition of Rephidim through all of their complaining, moaning, chiding- the sapped up their own anointing with their own mouths.

There was no water = there was no anointing. Why do we expect the anointing to flow in our lives, on our prayers, on our vision and dreams, when all we did all day was whine, moan and complain? Why do we expect the anointing to flow when all we did all day was point the finger, ridicule, blame, lash out, criticize our leaders, friends, brothers and sisters?

THE WORD OF GOD IS CLEAR ABOUT THIS POINT:

Negativity does not release the anointing. Frustration, complaining, etc does not release the anointing. Pointing the finger, blame, ridicule, etc does not release the anointing.

The Prayer of Faith releases the anointing.

You can’t be on both sides of the equation. You can not do both and expect your prayers to break through. There is no middle ground here. You can’t be double minded and expect power in prayer.

When I began this teaching I made a statement…the Spirit of Witchcraft- One of the Works of the Flesh. What I am saying is that, we can easily fall into the trap of thinking that witchcraft is happening somewhere from outside, being performed by someone else, directed at us through someone else.

I am showing you another side to the coin. The witchcraft of words can come from us… from within us, from our own actions, our own flesh.

We deceive ourselves in double mindedness, when we operate in disobedience, rebellion or in any of the activities described. We allow the spirit of Amalek to operate in our lives and only we can shut it down.

Saul wanted to operate in the things of GOD and the things of the world, as it suited him. It doesn’t work like that, and it cost him everything.

Reading Assignment: Read it all in context Starting at 1 Samuel 9 – 1 Samuel 15

The Day After Pentecost Has Come…

The Days of Counting the Omer have past and Pentecost is now yesterday, if we allow it to be.

The Counting of the Omer was a Commandment (Leviticus 23:15-16). It’s purpose is to focus our attention during the days between Passover and Pentecost, on the Giving of the Word at Mt. Sinai.

Aside from all the arguments Christianity gives of, “being under a new covenant”, the Counting of the Omer was given for a higher purpose.

A purpose that surpasses our differences of interpretation.

This purpose concerns our spiritual health and well being. The Counting of the Omer is to commemorate the Giving of the Torah, the Giving of His Word to us, which is what we are seeking daily.

The Feast of GOD are given in cycles. Our benefit, is that as the cycles return, we can enter into the same blessing during the Season the Heavens are open for these types of blessings.

The Feast are Divine Appointments with GOD. He maintains a Spiritual Calendar, that most Christians don’t even know is available to them.

Lack of this critical spiritual knowledge leaves us open and vunerable.

The mockers and scorners can say what they will. Don’t allow them to deter you any further.

I know the Prophetic Power of the Feast of the Lord, and they contain blessings we all have need of.

Who Doesn’t’ Want Greater Blessings?

GOD ask that we proclaim His Seasons. When we come into agreement regarding the Supernatural Seasons of GOD, more blessings flow.

This is what I want you to know for yourselves.

HOW MANY DIVINE APPOINTMENTS HAVE YOU MISSED?

We keep every other carnal, chronological, mundane date on the secular calendar, and miss every Divine Appointment that GOD has scheduled for a Personal Meeting with us. What sense does that make?

I remember now… someone said, we don’t have to keep the Feasts of the LORD anymore.

This is a good place to decide something…

15. And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the day of rest, from the day that ye brought the omer of the waving; seven weeks shall there be complete;

16. even unto the morrow after the seventh week shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall present a new meal-offering unto the LORD.

Leviticus 23:14 commands us to keep the feast as an statute forever, throughout our generations.

Christ testified that he did not abolish or destroy the commandments (Matt 5:17).

He kept the feast days, and so did his disciples after him.

May our Love for GOD settle the Dispute!

A new bottom-line I would like to offer everyone, that has been taught to abandon the Feast of GOD, should this topic irritate or concern anyone,(which is NOT my intent) is this…

I want to give everyone who reads this an opportunity to consider these words in prayer over the next 10 months, in prayer…

and consider your love for GOD…

When you love someone, it’s an all or nothing proposition. Despite, our likes and dislikes, nothing about them is obsolete or insignificant.

When we love someone, we acknowledge them and celebrate them. You would not allow anyone to tell you otherwise.

You find ways to make what is special to them, special to you.

What is important to them, becomes important to you.

At the very least, the Feast Days are Special to GOD, therefore we should make them Special to Us!

In His “Mind”, according to His Words, forever is perpetual and everlasting.

Forever, has no expiration date.

His promises are eternal and so are His Sabbaths and His Feasts.

How can we as ‘believers’ claim promises that are eternal, but call his Feast obsolete? His Word is the same, yesterday, today, and forever, right?

His Feast are attached to His Word.

We say Christ is the LORD of the Sabbath. True.

How do we celebrate Christ? Do we celebrate the Sabbath? Do we celebrate Christ once a year at Passover?

Do we Pray with Him, once in a while?

We can’t separate the Feast from the Sabbaths, the Feast are Sabbaths.

The Feast make us MINDFUL of Him. The Feast are a way of saying, ‘I Love Everything about You!’ What’s important to you, is important to me.

We can call it outdated or “old”, but the truth is, the spiritual health and well being of the people is worse and worsening.

Afflictions of the spirit include, but are not limited to, depression, rage, anger, alcoholism, drug addictions, misery, cursing, suicide attempts, etc.

Spiritually speaking, all are serious indications of a sick, tired and weakened spirit.

I say this to say, that GOD instituted a plan for spiritual cleansing and healing that we either don’t know about, have no confidence in (trust), consider to be outdated, or have been taught to consider them outdated.

Be it unto you, as your faith is…

Yet, “Christ touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith, be it unto you.” (Matt 9:9, [Matt 9:20, 22, 23, 8:13, 21:21, Mark 5:34, 10:52, Luke 8:48, 17:19], Just to cite a few).

The faith that made them whole, always included the substance of GOD’s Spiritual Remedies.

The Omer Contains Opportunity.

Our 49 days of spiritual reflection has culminated in another level of a prophetic journey from our personal Egypt’s, to our Prophetic Word at Mt. Sinai.

Egypt represents the World, the World’s Systems, bondage, and/or spiritual depravity or spiritual deprivation.

Mt. Sinai was the remedy to the world systems, spiritual depravity and/or spiritual deprivation.

The children of Israel had sunk to their lowest level ever. It took sinking to the lowest possible level, before they cried out to GOD with one heart, one mind.

They had adapted / assimilated to so many of the worlds customs and traditions and replaced them for the customs and traditions of GOD, that they had lost nearly all of their spiritual identity…

Their ONE redeeming quality was that they kept their names… (the last traces of their spiritual identity), they remembered GOD, and they got back into a position of prayer.

Why am I calling these 3 (spiritual) factors ONE?

Because, it was these 3 (spiritual) factors working in combination that became their 3 strand cord.

A cord strong enough to pull them back from the brink.

How did our journey to Sinai begin this year? (April 27th through June 8th).

Did we even make the journey?

Did we search our hearts to discover what it is we needed most to remove from our carnal nature?

Was there even one thing we sought to change about our character and nature?

What were we mindful of during the Counting of the Omer?

Did we purpose in our heart to achieve a higher spiritual level, and pray daily for 49 days to constrain the anointing over our request?

Or, did the pressures of our daily lives pull us out of the anointing until we lost focus and our spiritual request became a fleeting memory?

49 days to focus on character refinement. How did you do?

Where have we arrived?

Which of my baser instincts was I able to conquer?

Which element of my personality has been refined into an expression of the divine?

The barley offering is a food for animals, but sifted and refined, it is eligible to be offered to God.

What refinement of our character can we offer to GOD?

The Omer represents our aspiration and commitment to character refinement, to ennoble our carnal nature and baser instincts and prepare ourselves for greater spiritual achievements.

In Genesis 1:20, 21, 24, 30 and 2:19; GOD creates the animals with ‘nephesh chaiyah’ (a living soul).

Man is created ‘nephesh chaiyah’ also; (a living soul, Genesis 2:7).

The same language applies to us both.

Man and animals possess a soul, and the animalistic instinct.

We are animals (Scientifically classified as part of the Animal Kingdom), but we are not limited to scientific classifications as animals.

Man contains the breath of GOD, which has the power to elevate us above our animalistic tendencies.

To accomplish this we have to nurture our spirit with the WORD of GOD.

His Word, is His Presence. We have to adorn ourselves with our spiritual garments and not leave them hanging up in the tent, like our brother Esau.

Our souls are equipped to elevate above our animalistic instincts.

A Measure of Barley for Your Character

During the counting of the Omer, the children of Israel, offered barley as an offering to GOD.

In a prophetic sense of the term, ‘Sifted and Refined like barley, we are worthy to approach God.

Our Hebrew Roots agree with our Christian teaching in that, it is our mandate to rise above our carnal nature, to rise above the rule of our instinct, to realize and actualize our higher nature.

As ALWAYS, GOD is Good.

Regardless of where we came out in regards to the Counting of the Omer, we have the power to repent.

We can proclaim at anytime, a spiritual consecration to GOD. A DO OVER, if you will.

Our Faith can Make Us Whole!

SAVE THE DATE!

We can also, change the outcome for 2020, declare our Omer, put it on our Google Calendars Now! Look forward to it! April 16th – May 29th, 2020.

Pray our way there!

GOD, loves a Bold Move toward the Throne!

Pray and Meditate on this message. “Ask and it shall be given unto you”, if I speak the Wisdom of GOD or not.

Send them a confirming Word, Jesus.

Amen.

This message is dedicated to EVERYONE and their Households, EVERYONE who tapped into this blog this Year and EVERYONE who taps into it throughout 2020.

I speak into your next 365 Days, till we meet again at Pentecost.

The Days shall await your prayers and instructions. Design them carefully, with your prayers.

Pray them well. Decree and declare with me, your next 365 days shall serve you, the days shall open up their treasures and release blessings, all the fruit of the spirit, with royalties; wisdom, knowledge, understanding, perfecting spiritual insight, and discernment.

May your words become saturated in the anointing and absorb all the oil, the corn, the wine, the honey, the manna and wheat, from God’s Word and His Promises.

May your spirit be revived by your consecration and dedication.

Together, through the Power of the Word of GOD in us, so be it, as our Faith is.

May this message be pleasing to GOD.

Amen.

**(This entire message is a prayer. My apologies for publishing this twice, but from my tiny phone I had difficulty publishing the correct draft copy).

Because Mother’s Untangle The World…

There are 2 simple letters, mem(m) and hei (h) in Hebrew, that when put together, they spell the word MAH! (pronounced, maw).

Naturally, when studying any language, you will come across the word, “What?” I’ve studied many languages over the years, but I must say this word captured my attention because “What” in Hebrew is, Mah! I thought, “that is so sweet!”

As I learned more about the word “What” in Hebrew, this is what I found… Mah is the root of the word, mayim (mah-yeem) which in Hebrew means water/waters. You can imagine in ancient times, the seas were such a great mystery, even as they can be today. The waters represented the unknown, or unknown elements, and through time ‘mah’ became a way of asking, “Who?, What?, Where, When?, Why?, How?”

What I find so amazing about this little Hebrew word, is that it describes exactly what mom’s do. We answer, Who, What, When, Why, and How for all of our children as they grow up in the world. Mom’s are charged with the singular task of untangling the world for their children! Helping them understand why things are, the way they are… Answering the endless trains of, Why?’s, When?’s, Where?’s and What?’s

LORD, you really outdid yourself with that one! The entire time our sons and daughters were shouting through the house, “Mom!, Ma!, Maw!” There was always a,
“Who?, What?, Where?, When?, Why?, or How?”, right behind it!

We’ve All Been Speaking A Little Hebrew…

Imagine my surprise to discover that my son, and practically every child on earth has a remnant of GOD’s original language that has remained in all of us, this entire time!

Because I love language so much, I happened across a website that provides a brief list of the many different ways ‘mom’ is said in several different languages. I think you will find it interesting and fun! It’s called, ‘Mother’s Day in Different Languages’.

From their list you can see that the majority of names for ‘mom’ begin with the letter ‘M’. That can’t be a coincidence, right? There’s a certain sound attached to the call for one’s ‘mom’, that translates and transmits across cultures, languages and time.

What else do we know about the letter Mem in Hebrew?

The mem represents the seas, their power, the chaos and storms created by the oceans and the atmosphere. Just as the Word is a 2 edged sword, the ‘waters’ of mem have another side; the waters of torah, living waters, knowledge and wisdom. The open mem appears at the beginning or middle of a word, (any place but at the end of a Hebrew word). In the picture below, you can see a small opening at the bottom left hand side of the mem. This opening represents knowledge/wisdom that is revealed. Likewise, a closed mem indicates knowledge that is concealed.

Mah, begins with an open mem. In context with the word itself, ‘What’ is something that can be answered?… Mah answers with ‘Knowledge’ that can be revealed.

The mem has a gematria (numerical equivalency) of 40. Forty has a great deal of spiritual significance in scripture. Primarily, 40 represents time, transition and change. A few examples; Noah – 40 days and 40 nights, Moses – 40 days on Mt. Sinai, 40 days for embryo to form in the womb, 40 weeks to full pregnancy, 40 years in the wilderness to reach full understanding… “God has not given you a heart to know, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, until this day” (Deut. 29:3-4), etc.; A few torah examples of transitioning from one level of reality/understanding to the next level.

The Hebrew Letter Hei – h

The letter hei means to behold! In ancient paleo Hebrew, the symbol for hei looks like a stick man with his hands held up in surrender!

In the hei, we find another example of torah. In the hei, this represents divine revelation, the breath of GOD (Ps 33:6), insight.

By the breath of GOD, His Holy Utterances, the world and all life was created, and by His breath we are sustained.

Mem and Hei, say What?

Considering that both letters, mem and hei convey the concepts of torah, and that once they are combined they express the meaning of, “What?” We see that only wisdom, knowledge and understanding can respond to the What, Where, When, Why and How’s of Life! …and the best and most complete answers, will contain the Word of GOD in them, i.e., torah will be in them.

That beautiful sound, Mah, Maw, Mama, is echoed across the globe. When our children call us on the phone, or yell “Maw” across the room, it’s not a country form of slang or merely a term of endearment. They are calling us by our motherly purpose…it’s what we do! We answer their questions and we untangle the world!

What other word combinations and meanings do you see in the combination of letters, mem – hei?

It need not be stated, but just in case….Dad’s as well field a multitude of questions from their children. It goes without saying. I just get a kick out of the fact that, the word “mah’ in Hebrew, sounds so much like a child calling it’s mother! I thought someone else out there might get a kick out of knowing this too!

Happy Mother’s Day! –Now Go Forth and Untangle the World! 🙂

I hope you hear a new thing, when you hear your name called, “Maw”

NOTE: The ‘T’ looking symbol that you see beneath the letter mem is called a ‘gamets’. It comes to us courtesy of the Masoretes, a 9th century group of scribes and scholars who invented a vowel system for the Hebrew Language. They took these steps out of concern, that over time, the ability to accurately pronounce the Hebrew words could potentially be lost. —Remember, the 22 Letters of the Hebrew Aleph-Bet are consonants, with no vowels.

THE Undiscovered ADAM and The Unexplained MAN, Part 2

“He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.” —Daniel 2:22

Shalom,

We are 45 minutes into this series and as promised, today I am going to bring you a few highlights regarding the Hebrew word ‘adam’.

Since the series began entitled, “Where There Is No Man, Be A Man” Parts 1-4, I have reiterated the quote many times…”In the place where there are no men, be a man.” Would you be surprised to know that this statement has it’s roots in scripture?

What else can we learn from this message? The objective is to discover not only, what character and nature of ‘man’ is required when a tough situation presents itself, but also, Who is this elect man among men? Plus our original question still remains on the table, “Why are there so many different Hebrew words for ‘man’?”

Below, we will discover that there is more information to be known about the Hebrew word, ‘adam’, and that the information is kept within the Hebrew letters themselves!

First, Adam…is a Human Being…

In Part 3 of “Where There Is No Man, Be A Man”, we saw ‘adam’ applied first in recognition of ‘man’ as a human being; a messenger of GOD and representative of mankind. In Gen 5:2, we saw the transition and evolution of ‘adam’ to his name.

‘adam’, is written with 3 Hebrew letters; aleph (A) – dalet (D) – closed mem (M).

Let’s begin by exploring one letter at a time.

The Aleph is Silent…

  • The Hebrew Aleph-Bet contains 22 letters; 5 of the 22 letters are written in what is known as a ‘Final Form’. The Final Form is a way of writing the letter differently, when it appears at the ‘end’ of a word.
  • All of the Hebrew Letters are Consonants (with few exceptions of letters that are now used as vowels since the time of the Masoretes).
  • Aleph is silent in Hebrew.

You may recall from previous teachings, that the Hebrew letters convey; concepts, images, ideas, symbols and possess numerical values. As a result, there is a lot of valuable data packed into every single letter of the Hebrew Aleph-Bet, which translates to a great deal of data in each word. In short, the Hebrew Letters are treasure houses of information; a.k.a. the Hebrew letters are said to possess ‘inner meanings’; literally, spiritually, and numerically. Meanings that exist beyond words.

The Hebrew Letter Aleph – a

The Hebrew Letter Aleph, is the 1st letter of the Hebrew Aleph-Bet. The Gematria of the letter aleph, i.e., the numerical value of aleph is 1. One is unique and Indivisible. The Aleph is formed by the combination of 2 Hebrew letters, the vav (V) and 2 yods, (Y). Referring to the handout on the right, the vav is the vertical line which is slanted in the aleph, representing the partition between the upper firmament and the lower firmament. The yod’s are connected to the vav, positioned on either sides of the stem. One facing up (toward the Heavens), and the other facing down (toward earth). The Gematria of the vav is 6, and each yod has a numerical value of 10, for a total of 26.

Why Is The Number 26 Important?

The aleph is equivalent to the 4 Letter Name of GOD, Y-H-V-H, which also equals 26. (Y=10, H=2×5, V=6). A clear connection between GOD’s Name, Y-H-V-H and the Aleph is visible in their numerical equivalencies. Concepts and Connections in the Hebrew that would otherwise be invisible to us, can readily be seen in their numerical equivalencies. We will continue to keep an eye open to these connections as we continue to study from the Hebrew perspective.

In Paleo Hebrew, i.e., The Ancient Hebrew Script, The letter aleph was shaped in the form of an Ox head, representing strength, leadership, power. Aleph became the symbol representing God. Aleph symbolizes the Oneness of GOD, and His Sovereignty. Aleph represents Divinity, The Father, The Strong Leader of the House. Aleph is torah, the very thought of GOD. All of creation is a product of torah, Genesis 1. Which is why, even the letters are called, the raw materials of creation.

God spoke His Word into the atmosphere and the Word took physical form. Before GOD ever asked adam to look into the essence of every creature and call out their name, their true essence, GOD looked into the essence of His crowning achievement and called him adam, a human being.

It is only fitting that the human beings are given a name that begins with the the 1st letter of GOD’s Name, Elohim (spelled – aleph (A) – lamed (L) – hei (H) – closed mem (M). Mankind’s name begins, with its origins and reflection in GOD. The image and likeness of GOD is embedded in the very name He gave for mankind, and it begins with the aleph. Adam is God-Like in being and will be GOD’s representative and messenger on earth. God signed off on His Creation by adding His Name to our name.

Mankind, was created to be an aleph in the earth. Even our name carries our assignment.

The Hebrew Letter Dalet – d

The Dalet, connects us to the four stages of deliverance as outlined by GOD in The Book of Exodus 6:6-7. “I will Bring You Forth, Save You, Redeem You and Take You.” Amen.

The dalet (D) is the 4th letter of the Hebrew aleph-bet and carries a gematria of 4. Dalet is the door, and it’s name carries it’s designation. The doorpost reaches up and down and the lintel reaches right to left. The 4 directions of dalet extend north, south, east and west.

The root word of Dalet, (dal) alludes to the poor, with the gimel – the 3rd letter of the Hebrew Aleph-Bet pursuing the dalet in order to provide care, generosity and kindness.

Consider Abraham, whose name by the way, also begins with the aleph – the 1st letter of GOD’s Name. Abraham was called the Chariot of GOD, who brought GOD’s character and Nature down to Earth. Abraham pursued the poor. His tent doors were always open to provide hospitality, supplies, comfort and care. His deeds of righteousness were always carried out expeditiously and his kindness to others is legendary. Abraham exemplifies chessed to the poor… the kindness of GOD.

The dalet is the symbol of the door, the path, the way. Once we, as those reared up on New Testament teachings, hear these words, we definitely connect the dots and immediately recognize the parallels to Christ, Who is The Way, The Truth and The Life. The dalet symbolizes movement, the pathway, access in and out, because it is the door.

In the Ancient Paleo Hebrew symbol of the dalet, you can also see the representation of the curtain hanging from the rods in the tabernacle. The veil stands between the Holy place and the Holy of Holies. The dalet is the door (Christ, that stands between us and The Father). To accept the FAther, you must accept the Son. Once again, Every New Testament Bible Student/disciple beholds the image of the dalet and hears the scripture saying, “No one cometh unto the Father, but by me”. John 14:6

IN THE REPRESENTATION OF THE ALEPH (A) AND THE DALET (D) WE CAN ALREADY BEGIN TO SEE THE IMAGE OF CHRIST AS THE DOOR, STANDING AT THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF GOD, THE FATHER. DALET BEING THE DOOR, OUR PATHWAY TO GOD.

The Hebrew Letter Mem – m

The letter mem, (M) is the 13th letter of the Hebrew aleph-bet and has the same sound as our English letter, M.

In it’s ancient form, the letter mem was written in much the same way we would write it today, to represent waves of water. In fact, it carries the meaning of water (mayim), waves, liquid, or sea.

Notions of the sea carry with it the ideas of power, chaos and massiveness. These are concepts that are connected to the letter mem as well. The numerical equivalency of the Hebrew letter mem is 40. Traditionally, the letter mem represents water, nations, people, languages, and tongues. The letter mem has 2 forms, the open form and the closed form. The open form is said to represent the revealed truth and the closed mem represents what is concealed by GOD. In that context, the mem also symbolizes knowledge and wisdom.

Notice then, that ‘adam’ ends with a closed mem. —some truths remain concealed.

GOD, CHRIST AND THE NATIONS…

And the Door, standing squarely between GOD and the nations, a.k.a., GOD and the People.

You can also read the letters from aleph to mem as, The Father, who gave us His Son, the Door/Pathway from which all the nations have access to Him. The mem, the nations…none of which shall come to the Father, but by Christ, the Door! Whether we view it backwards or forwards, Christ is the Key to the Door!

DAM means BLOOD

Embedded in the word ‘adam’, is the word ‘dam’, which in English means blood. “The life is in the blood”, Lev 17:11.

GOD is attached, connected to the Blood. You can’t even spell the word for blood in Hebrew, without the concept of Christ as the door and the nations, as the people. You also see the message of the blood being applied to the doorpost to protect the people. Of course, our spilled blood cries out to GOD. GOD is attached to us, through the Blood.

Dam means life.

GOD (A) is Life… and the Life is in the Blood (D-M).

What Happens When You Remove the dalet?

If we remove the dalet from the middle of the word ‘adam’, we have a new word, ‘aleph-mem, which spells, ‘mother’ (517), pronounced ‘eem’ or ‘eemah’.

One more important thing that we don’t want to miss is that, in order to spell the word ‘mother’ in Hebrew, you have to include the 1st letter in GOD’s Name, aleph.

Aleph vs. Ayin

Ayin – Mem (ah’m) spells People

There are 2 Letter ‘A’s in Hebrew, the aleph which is a symbol of GOD and the ayin, which symbolizes the eye, sight, or insight. Ayin – mem forms another Hebrew word, ‘people’ (5971), which is also translated as flock, nation, men or folk; with 1868 occurrences in scripture.

People and Mankind are two different words (concepts) in Hebrew. In English, we use them interchangeably. In Hebrew they are completely separate words with distinct applications. Making distinctions of this sort is not one of the strengths of the Concordances, as terms and interpretations are lumped together.

To say people in Hebrew, you remove the dalet from ‘adam’ and the aleph becomes ayin. This indicates a different connection. One that lacks GOD and the Doorway.

When we follow the pattern in GOD’s language and you remove the dalet from adam, you either spell the word ‘am’, (eem) which means ‘mother’ or you create another word, ‘am’ (ah’m) which means people.

Mankind becomes People, with the removal of the dalet from the word adam.

When GOD is removed from the equation of Mankind, Hebrew doesn’t retain the Aleph, the symbol of GOD.

People have to choose GOD, they have to choose sight, or no sight. Insight or blind-sight. Mankind without the Door, without the Aleph (GOD)… we become, a people without GOD.

No wonder GOD’s word says, “My people perish for lack of knowledge”. When we sever the connection at the Door, there is no access to GOD, No Access to Knowledge, Wisdom or Understanding. No Torah, No Access.

The People Are One…

The Hebrew letters form the words of GOD’s message and they have much to teach us beyond the literal reading of the text. The Hebrew Aleph-Bet is able to transmit spiritual values, priorities, as well as another vision and level of the plan of GOD.

When we go back to the beginning and look at Genesis 11:6, When the People became One, without GOD...now we have a little more insight as to perhaps why this was such a dangerous thing.

GOD created us to be mankind. Mankind, are human beings who carry the image and likeness of GOD. Creating mankind, was the crowning achievement in the LORD’s creation masterpiece. If we lower ourselves to the level of a people without GOD, then we miss the mark and become a people who perish for lack of knowledge.

ADAM, embodies the Strength of GOD, The Power of GOD the Father, He is the First, The Beginning of Mankind. Adam carries the Name of GOD, The Image and likeness of GOD, The Word of GOD. ADAM’s name is a prophecy of the Messiah, Christ the Door, without whom, there is no access to GOD. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Through ADAM, the nations have access to the Door. All People, All Tribes, All Nations. Living Waters reside at the Door. If we drink of the Living Waters that He provides, we, the nations, shall never thirst again!

In the name ADAM, we see the legacy of mankind, The connection of GOD, The Aleph, David and Messiach. So much revelation and beauty in every word of Torah.

Every jot and tittle of the Word, carries the messages of GOD.

The messages of Heaven are conveyed down to the letters. Every word formed from the Letters of Fire, carries the teachings of GOD and is in line with the Word of GOD.

As you gain greater exposure to the messages conveyed in the letters, this knowledge will be at the forefront of your thoughts, even as you pray.

I pray that Your Words become infused with the evidence of things unseen and the substance of things hoped for, the products of another level of wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

My Pastor has always called the Hebrew Aleph-Bet, the Letters of Fire. I’m glad to know and share why.

Catch the Fire!

If you are following along in this series, please review the above material extensively and be prepared for the next teaching in this series. I will be building upon the information already presented in the series.

One of the most important concepts our torah’s studies provide to us is the realization that our words provide us access into the realms and dimensions that would be closed to us in the natural. Words have a very strong impact on all of our interactions. Therefore, we must measure our words carefully for the impact they have on others.

Our words allow us to draw forth something supernatural, from the natural world. Let’s repeat that: What we need most of all, is for our words to draw forth something supernatural, from the natural world/realm.

THE Undiscovered ADAM and The Unexplained MAN

“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” ––Acts 17:11 KJV

Shalom,

Upon the completion of reading this article, you will be approx. 45 minutes into this series, so I will keep you in suspense no longer. I know that this is the moment you have been waiting for! So, I am going to give a little insight into Hillel’s saying… “In the place where there are no men, be a man” Here we go!

In connection with the ongoing series entitled; “Where There Are No Men, Be A Man”… We are investigating 12 Hebrew Words for man, in order to assess just what type of man GOD may have in mind, who is qualified to respond to this mandate.

Rabbi Hillel, the 1st Century prophet who lived 110 BC – 10AD, is credited with the saying. I in turn accredit his words to GOD, for no other reason than he was a prophet of GOD, with insight into it’s ultimate meaning, which can only come from GOD Himself.

When I was first introduced to Hillel’s saying, it was taught to me in connection with Exodus 2:11-14; When Moses defended the Hebrew slave who was being attacked by an Egyptian overseer. Ultimately, in order to protect the slave, Moses had no choice but to kill him in order to protect his own life. As a result Moses fled from Egypt, knowing that Pharoah would soon hear of his actions. So, the teaching says, that when Moses looked around to see if there was anyone who would stand up for the slave, and against the abuses he was suffering, there was no man. There was only him, and Moses rose up to save the Hebrew slave.

The scripture reads, 11 “And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting a Hebrew, one of his brethren. 12And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand. 13And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow? 14And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.

In the Bible Study lessons I attended in my youth, the typical teaching that came from the passage above was that, “Moses went out to look upon the burdens of his people and he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew and he looked around to see if any one was watching. Since no one was watching, he took advantage of the moment and killed the Egyptian to save the Hebrew slave.” A literal interpretation to be sure, but there is more going on here than that, and this might not be totally accurate. Below, we will key into some very important wording, to determine if we have all the facts.

  • OBSERVATIONS:
  • verse 11: Moses saw an Egyptian “smiting an ‘ish’ (320), one of his brethren”
  • verse 11: smiting is nakah(5221), and ‘ish’ only shows up in the Hebrew; meaning that it is untranslated in most English translations of the Bible, including the King James Version. If you refer to an Interlinear Bible, you will find that the word ‘ish’ is completely ignored and was not carried over into a majority of the English translations. For us English speaking Bible Students, ‘ish’ is invisible. The KJV reads, “smiting a Hebrew”, yet, ‘ish’ is a very important part of this teaching too, and we need to put it back into the forefront.
  • verse 11: a translation that would be more inclusive of these details would be, “Moses saw an Egyptian smiting an ‘ish’, an ‘ivri’, (a Hebrew).” NOTE: Hebrew is the word, ivri, which is pronounced, ‘ee-vree’. If you recall, we learned that the word, ‘ivri’ means, “from the other side.” Ref: Where There Is No Man, Part 2
  • verse 12: “and he looked this way and that way”, –he looked ‘koh va koh’
  • verse 12: “and when he saw there was no man”. —He saw there was no ‘ish’
  • verse 12: “…he slew (nakah, 5221) the Egyptian”.
  • verse 13: “Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow?” the word for smitest is ‘nakah’ (5221) translated; attack, slay, kill. Fellow is ‘rea’, pronounced ray-ah (7453), i.e., a friend, neighbor, companion…
  • verse 14:“intendest thou to kill (2026) me, as thou killedst (2026) the Egyptian?” 2026 is ‘harag’; to kill, slay

There are 4 key points I would like for you to grasp right now. We will double back for the rest of the information later. For now, the 1st 3 are of primary importance in this part of our study, so we will take a look at them first.

  1. Moses did not, look around to see if anyone was watching because he was concerned about someone seeing him in the act of committing murder. This is not an example of a severe character flaw that we are witnessing here. Moses is a tzaddik, a righteous one. There is an injustice occuring in front of him, and he cannot just stand by and let it happen. He has been raised as a Prince of Egypt, a leader. Leaders stand up for the defenseless.
  2. Since we already know that there are 12 Hebrew words for ‘man’, we understand that scripture is drawing our attention to the fact that, he saw no ‘ish’, which makes this issue significant to note. There are 11 other possibilities for word choices here, so “seeing no ish” is important and we must pay attention to this detail. When we take the information that we have in hand thus far, what does that tell us about the characteristics that an ‘ish’ must possess? Who is an, ‘ish’?
  3. In addition, Moses is connecting the concept of being an ‘ish’, with being an ivri, a Hebrew. What else can we glean about the quality of an ‘ish’ from this statement?
  4. There are 2 different words in this portion of scripture that both have the interpretation of “to kill”; harag and nakah. We need to take a look at these words in the same way in which we are looking at the word ‘man’. What distinction is being made between these two Hebrew words? What pertinent information is the concordance lacking here? Are there patterns that are revealed in the use of the Hebrew words themselves that will provide another source of information, detail or revelation?

Hillel, is speaking scripture to us in his ‘saying’. He is pointing those that he is teaching, back to the word of GOD, that has been rehearsed in their ear’s yearly. When the children of Israel in the 1st Century hear these words, their minds go to the portion of scripture that points to Moses’ confrontation with the Egyptian. As for our Christian minds, where do they go?, Are there any dots for us to connect? I sincerely doubt if we are reflecting back on the Book of Exodus, Chapter 2; the portion of scripture known as shemot, “and these are the names…” (shemot is pronounced as one syllable, i.e., shhh’mote). Shemot (Ex. 1:1 through 6:1), is the portion of the Hebrew Scriptures that deals with the children of Israel remembering who they are in GOD and crying out to the GOD of Heaven for deliverance. They had been stripped of practically everything that made them Hebrews. There was one virture, that qualified them for destiny… they had kept their Hebrew names, i.e., they kept their identities that connected them to their people and their GOD.

In our childhood bible studies, these words of scripture were not rehearsed in our ears, so we miss the connection that Hillel is making, i.e., We don’t hear the Hebrew Scripture being echoed back to us.

In fact, we aren’t even aware that there are any connections to be made, so we don’t even know were missing them. This is one of the primary reasons that my advocacy for Christians learning torah is so vocal. How many peices to the puzzle were missing from your knowledge banks regarding this portion of scripture? Has any additional light been shed on this torah portion? Did you hear the torah being spoken in Hillel’s saying?

If not, why not? Is there anything else that has gone unrecognized in these 4 passages of scripture, that we should know about?

I am deliberately focusing on these point for 2 reasons.

1. As we read the New Testament, we are reading right over critical language that we should recognize from the Hebrew Scriptures.

2. If we heard the language cues, we would automatically have greater understanding and insight into the context and mindset from which Christ and the disciples were speaking. We would know, that Christ is speaking torah the entire time and that He never broke the torah, nor did He come to destroy the torah. This matters.

All of the information provided above has bearing on our study of, ‘man’. All of the little dots that we have connected will shed more light on Hillel’s invocation, the Hebrew Scriptures as a whole and all of the relevant information we have missed, due to our lack of torah study.

By the way, that photo on the caption is the word, ‘adam’ in Hebrew. Reading from right to left, we have the letters, aleph (A) – dalet (D) – mem (M). adam is connected to this teaching about ‘man’. We are still in pursuit of the meaning of the word, ‘man’, as found in the saying of Hillel. Have we found it?

Think about the information that you have learned so far. What dots have you connected in the scriptures? What insights have been revealed? In our next series associated with adam, we are going to take an indepth look at the 3 letters that spell, ‘adam’ and see what they can tell us of the character and nature of adam and who, adam is referring to, and/or what the word ‘adam’ really means. Is it a name only or is it a reference to mankind, or both? Should both designations apply, is that all that this Hebrew word, chosen by GOD and applied to his highest form of creation, can tell us about GOD and ourselves? Let’s find out!

Review this material extensively and be prepared for the next teaching in this series. Stay tuned!

Note to Students:  Over the years my re-quoting of this saying has shortened to, “Where there is no man, be a man.”  I apologize for any incoveneience this may have caused any of you.  The actual full quote is as stated above in each teaching connected with this series.  “In a place where there are no men, be a man.”

Thank You for your forgiveness for my typo’s and adpatation of the saying.

God Bless You,
