ELUL, PRAYERS ON THE 6th DAY…

TODAYS PSALMS: 77-83 TUESDAY AUGUST 25

ELUL, The Month of The Search… Praying The Lord’s Prayer IN HEBREW & ENGLISH

LORD, We offer prayer tonight for all those, including ourselves who have endured trouble. We are all standing before you in the midst of trouble now. Enemies are round about us, especially today.

We pray for defense against enemies seen and unseen, known and unknown, we seek Your help against all enemies, foreign and domestic, hidden or revealed, enemies that we see clearly, even the ones that we refuse to see…

We declare our enemies to be placed into a state of rigidity, we decree their weapons dismantled, their loins loosed, and their plans broken and scattered to the ends of the earth.

Search me LORD and try my reins, see if there be any wicked way in me…

We pray for our souls to be at peace, even times when we struggle to be comforted. We pray for those that are troubled, were troubled, feel troubled, for those who are restless, not sleeping, or so troubled that they can not speak…

May we call to remembrance how we use to sing in the night, being clothed in joy and thanksgiving, May we consider the past days filled with Your Glory, and make a diligent search of of our hearts. May each one of us, question our relationship with You… earnestly examine our relationship with Our GOD, during the Month of Elul.

Do we see you as that friend that will never leave us or forsake us? Do we question the favor of our GOD? Have we not seen your mercy and favor and promises come to pass in our life? Are you not better to us than our dearest friend? Do we ask for you to be gracious to us? to be gracious again? to be generous once more in the night and carry our soul to your throne and speak to us once more? and restore our soul every morning?

Forgive us LORD, for every time we questioned Your Faithfullness, Your Dedication to us, to me. For every time I asked for more, when you have given all.
The Heavens were never shut to us, Your tender mercies have never failed to flow toward us. We have shut ourselves off to them through disobedience and every undisciplined, unaddressed character flaw, and yet, once again, I come to you with my prayer request in hand.

Be generous again… tonight LORD. Return my soul in the morning with memories of being at Your Throne, being in Your Presence, sitting at your feet and learning from you.

Fill me with torah dreams…dreams filled with revelation and wisdom and knowledge… I want to spend the night at Your Feet, in Your Council… In Your Classroom!

I decree and declare Your Torah will come to me in the night, Your Wisdom shall Rest upon my head, upon my pillow.

My hands shall be lifted up in prayer, even as I sleep, My Prayers shall go forth even as my soul rest, I shall speak words of healing and restoration over everyone on my prayer list, I shall speak the counsel of GOD, that you taught me, in the ears of my friends,

I shall rehearse Your Word in the atmosphere, while I breathe once more the Breath of Heaven while I sleep. Restore my soul to hear Your Voice as I did in my youth. Restore to me the wisdom of Torah I had in the womb. Give us Psalms to pray in the night and let us awaken with Torah on our lips. Torah thoughts, Torah dreams, Torah Visions.

May we arise tomorrow, Slow in speech, slow to anger, swift to hear and wise of heart.

We reclaim our voice in prayer, our rest, our joy, our peace, our vision, our insight, our dreams.

We reclaim the joy of our children, even those unborn. We cast down their spiritual strongholds, every demonic stranglehold and spirit of sabotage that has tried to discourage them, any and all oppressive spirits that have sought to capture their joy and peace and futures, is bound today. Every illegitimate, unauthorized voice in their lives shall become silent. You LORD, shut the mouths of lions, every predatory spirit that tries to speak to them shall stutter in their lies, their tongues shall be cleaved to the roof of their mouths, they shall entangle themselves in their lies, deceptions, every snare they set for our children shall ensnare them instead, we pour oil round about their threshold, their door points and decree and declare the enemy shall not pass their door posts, we anoint our children to pray in their sleep, they shall cast out by prayer every ungodly soul ties, we dispatch our prayers to assist them.

They will not be tempted, provoked or lured in by the voice of the enemy. Our children remember the way to The LORDs Sanctuary and shall travel there, even as they sleep.
The Voice of The LORD shall lead them out safely from all darkness and danger, or despair, all the days of their lives.
We Thank You LORD, that You already sent Your Word to bind up every adversary who lays in wait. Nothing shall track or trace them in the spirit realm. We nullify all predatory and stalking spirits. We declare these words into 2021 and beyond.

Every prayer We have ever prayed for them shall arise in their presence, and our GOD, their GOD, shall send them help from the Sanctuary!

They shall arise with the strength to fight the lions and the bears, like David did. They shall arise to slay the lion like Sampson did, and return this time next year to find honey in the carcass. They shall rejoice in the place the enemies tried to attack or blindside them on their path. They shall show up with bread, and turn to call out every uncircumcised phillistine in their valley.

And this will be their 5 smooth stones… our prayers during the Month of Elul, our obedience to GOD, our vow to speak no loshon hara, our love of our neighbor, and our love of our GOD, The Most High.

And ALL OUR PRAYERS will come to pass because we remember the years of the right hand of the most High over us and over our House.

We remember the works of the Lord: surely we will remember thy wonders of old and await Your wonders right now!

We will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.

Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?

Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people.

You are a Redeemer of the past, the present and the future. You are Worthy to be Praised.

It’s Already Done

Amen

ELUL, DAY 5

YOUR YOM HA ZIKARON IS ON THE HORIZON!

ELUL, The Month of The Search… Praying The Lord’s Prayer IN HEBREW & ENGLISH

Today’s Reading: Psalms 70-76

READING SCHEDULE:

PLACING THE SPOTLIGHT ON —PSALM 70

Over the past 4 Days, we have been reciting and praying the the Psalms as they are written in the KJV. Let’s take a look at this Psalm from the viewpoint of a little more torah to gain insight into a few key items that shed more light on David’s Prayer.

There is a prelude to this Psalm that we don’t always find a consistency in the transition. It begins: “To the Chief Muscician, A Psalm of David, To bring to remembrance:”

Remembrance in Hebrew is a VERY BIG WORD: (We only have a moment to take a brief snapshot of the meaning of zaw-kar. But I assure you, GOD’s message of YOU being remembered is ever present).

Embedded in the phrase le’haz’kir, is the word zaw-kar, meaning to remember.

zaw-kar always connects you back to a Promise, to be remembered. Whenever we receive even the smallest glimpse of this word in scripture- our ears should perk up!

In Exodus 12:14 we read: “And this day shall be unto you for a memorial (zaw-kar); and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

A ‘Yom Hazikaron

Numbers 10:9 says: “And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered (zaw-kar) before the Lord your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.”

The sounding the alarm and the Day of Remembrance go hand in hand. The Day of Remembrance and the blasts of the trumpet are both associated with war. David is in a strong battle and begins his song by affirming that the LORD will keep His Promise, to remember him in times of war, in times of difficulty. David is sounding the shofar with his song of faith and praise.

Isaiah 43:26 “Put me in remembrance: let us plead [judge] together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.”

In turn GOD asks that we put Him in remembrance of His Word regarding us! Let’s sort it out, let’s judge the matter. David takes all of his issues, concerns, problems, difficulties, battles, enemies, etc. etc. David takes it all to GOD in Prayer. He does not lash out himself (he learned from that). He does not gossip, murmur or complain to others. He does not get mixed up in Loshon Hara (evil speech).

David had to learn to bring all his cares before the LORD and let GOD deal with His People!

Hasten, O God, to save me;
come quickly, Lord, to help me.

May those who want to take my life
    be put to shame and confusion;
may all who desire my ruin
    be turned back in disgrace.
May those who say to me, “Aha! Aha!”
turn back because of their shame.

Those who happily celebrate my distress.

But may all who seek you
    rejoice and be glad in you;
may those who long for your saving help always say,
    “The Lord is great!”

But as for me, I am poor and needy;
come quickly to me, O God.

“I have no strength without you. I cannot move this army of enemies without your help.”

You are my help and my deliverer;
    Lord, do not delay.

GOD Remembers All of Your Battles… He Will Remember You and He Will Fight For the Righteous!

David never had to snip anyone’s garments again. He learned how to yield his biggest weapon in the spirit — By giving GOD’s children back to Him in prayer and supplication. Because of this, he was able to keep his hands clean and his heart pure. He only fought the wars of GOD – against GOD’s enemies. He did not lay his hands (or the hands of his tongue) on GOD’s Anointed. Even when fighting the Philistines, the same torah principles applied- Wait on GOD.

David had to keep All of his hands off of Saul. David was serving and Saul was sinning, but Saul was still GOD’s anointed. Our fights/battles with each other are not common, (they are not even allowed) which means we can’t handle them by secular means. We can’t handle anything with secular methodologies.

David Chose Prayer

Prayer was his weapon of choice. David’s results were not always swift. He prayed many a prayer. Yet, he found he won far more battles in prayer than he could have with his bare hands and a wicked tongue.

I’m laboring the first week over these concepts, to really drive them home, because if we truly learn these principles as His Disciples, we can help so many people and change so many things with our prayers. Principalities, Thrones, Powers, Dominions… will be swift work for you to pull down!

WE CAN NOT HAVE ONE FOOT IN AND ONE FOOT OUT!

Don’t get me wrong…some have muddled through speaking GOD’s Word with one side of their mouths and wickedness and/or cursings with the other side of their mouths. (Grace abounds) But, the people I know who desire a real walk with GOD… want to be able to do better, to do more! They know they can do better.

…and they know they are not operating at full strength. They know they They know much more is required of them. They want to speak a Word and see it occur! They really do. But we can not have it both ways. GOD is not double minded or unstable in all His Ways, and we can not be either!

His rules work. We just need the self-discipline to follow through!

Believe me when I say, the Psalms are an invaluable tool to help you to train your spirit to get to where you want to be spiritually.

Your Yom Hazikaron is Here!

Amen.

ELUL… Seasoning Our Words With Salt

THE FIRST DAY OF THE MONTH OF ELUL…

Knowing that our words should be seasoned with salt- the whole entire time— Elul, places a special requirement on us to evaluate and recalibrate every word that comes out of our mouths.

With dedication and discipline, applied in this process, we will become masters at apprehending our thoughts before they even slip out of our mouths as words.

Her’s a short torah teaching for you on this eve of Rosh Chodesh Elul, The Head of the Month of Elul

…………………

One man spread a rumor about another.

He later felt regret, and went to the rabbi to ask how to make amends. “Go to the store and buy a bag of seeds,” said the rabbi, “then go to a big open field and scatter the seeds into the wind. Do so and report back to me in a week.”

The man did as he was told, and came back the next week to find out what to do next. “Now,” said the rabbi, “go back to the field and pick up all the seeds.”

“But,” the man protested, “those seeds have scattered far and wide! I’ll never find them all. Many have even already taken root!”

“Exactly,” explained the rabbi. “Now you understand. When we speak badly about another person, the effect is far and wide. And it is damage that can never be fully undone.”

Proverbs 18:21

Death and life are in the hand of the tongue: and they that love it, shall eat the fruit thereof.

The Sages of Old explained it this way….  ”Negative speech is even worse than a sword—since it kills many people, even at a great distance.” (Talmud, Arachin 15b)

Evil Speech (loshon hara) is equivalent to murder. The Talmud teaches that evil speech  (gossip) is like a three pronged tongue which kills three people: the person who says it, the person who listens to it and the person about whom it is said.

We know this to be true because we have seen people carrying the weight of someones words around for decades. We have seen words break another persons spirit, causing such spiritual harm, that some have barely survived.

Remembering hurtful words from their childhood and re-experiencing them on a recurring basis, even nursing the words in their heart. Never letting them go. They nurse and rehearse these words to such a degree that they torment their own souls.

This Elul, we shall walk away from the pain of the past and the witchcraft of words.

Tonight as we pray, we will gather up all the seeds of words we have misplaced and misspoken, every word that hurt, insulted, or harmed in anyway.

We ask the LORD to bind up every wound we have inflicted upon anyone with our words.. intentionally, or unintentionally. Help me LORD, and heal all that I have harmed.

For every heart we have broken we repent, and ask the LORD to replace our words in their hearts and minds with healing words of love, kindness and tender mercies.

I pull down every stronghold I have built up over my life and anyone else through the careless use of my words. I strip away the very sound of any and every hurtful word that I spoke from their ears and from their hearts.

In these 29 days of Elul, I dispatch my prayers to root our every hidden place that my words have done damage. Heal me LORD, of any particle or residue of anger that caused harsh words to fall from my tongue toward my neighbor. I command my flesh to be silent, to speak sparingly, to submit to the wisdom, knowledge and counsel of the Most High GOD through His Word.

I Decree and Declare this very day, that my words shall become seasoned with salt. AMEN.

.

Let your speech be always with grace,  seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. Colossians 4:6 KJV

NOW IS THE SEASON….

ROSH CHODESH ELUL— THE MONTH OF THE SEARCH

THE 1ST OF ELUL, 5781. ~ AUGUST 20, 2020

29 DAYS TO EXAMINE YOUR HEART….

SET YOURSELF UP FOR BLESSINGS!

GOD asks in His Word, that we proclaim His Feast in their Seasons. When we are obedient to this request we set ourselves under the Biblical Calendar and the cyclical nature of Supernatiural Seasons of GOD.

The Feasts are given to us as our personal and prophetic moedim (moe-eh-deem) ; Our personal & prophetic appointments with GOD. The modem translates into English as “The Feasts.” GOD takes personal possession of these days, which are separated and consecrated by GOD, just for You!

It was ALWAYS All About You!

GOD has dedicated and consecrated time, set aside just for you!

When we are faithful to proclaim His Seasons, we declare all honor, glory, power, might and reverance for GOD, faith and trust… believing that, “What GOD did then, He will do once again.”

Observing the Feast of God, which were designed with you in mind, sends a message to GOD that you are all about Him! And that the appointment time that He has set aside for you, you are decreeing and declaring….”I will be there!”

Leviticus 23:

GOD asks us to proclaim His Seasons, FOREVER, Throughout our Generations… (not just in the “Old Testament times”. Throughout your generations… means an eternal consecration. Every generation is invited and we should want to be there.

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.

These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

GOD’S NEW YEAR IS FAST APPROACHING!

The prayers we offer during the month of Elul (when we search our own hearts) prepares us for GOD’s New Year -Rosh Hashanah, (September 19, 2020) Yom Kippur – Day of Atonement (September 28, 2020) and the Feast of Tabernacles (October 3 & 4, 2020).

As you just saw, GOD asks that we “proclaim” His Seasons. They were set aside by GOD for us, to draw closer to us as we draw closer to Him.

After GOD intiiated the Biblical Calendar with Nisan, “Let this be the beginning of months to you”, He continued…

Leviticus 23:

23 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month [Rosh Hashanah], shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement [Yom Kippur]: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord.

37 These are the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:

41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:

43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

44 And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord.

Again, GOD asks us to proclaim His Seasons, FOREVER, Throughout our Generations…

  • On the 1st, 10th and 15th of the 7th Month – The Hebrew Month called Tishri
    • Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Feast of Tabernacles

Praying the Psalms can help you jumpstart the search into you own soul…You will be Praying like David Prayed!

Psalm 51

1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.

16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.

17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

18 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.

19 Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.

Psalm 7

1  O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute [chase, pursue] me, and deliver me:

Lest they [will] tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.

O Lord my God, If I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;

If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)

Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.

Arise, O Lord, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.

So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.

The Lord shall judge the people: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.

Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.

10 My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.

11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

12 If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.

13 He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.

14 Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.

15 He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.

16 His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.

17 I will praise the Lord according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high.

Psalm 39

I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.

  • One of the hardest things we have to do is keep silent before the wicked. However, when we restrain ourselves when provoked, we elevate and strengthen spiritually.

I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred.

  • dumb with silence [do-me-yaw] = I controlled my tongue, kept my composure
    • I did not lash out or lash back with my tongue.
  • held my peace [khaw-shaw] = I was still

My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue,

Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am.

  • David spoke to GOD about the situation instead trying to defend himself to others, or trying to explain, complain, or win.
  • David transformed the way he handled the pressures imposed upon him by Saul.
  • By today’s Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube standards of behavior, many who say they follow Christ, are not following Him in this. Many “believers” are lashing out, lashing back, etc.

Psalm 86

1 Bow down thine ear, O Lord, hear me: for I am poor and needy.

Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.

Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.

Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.

In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.

All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.

10 For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.

11 Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

13 For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

14 O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.

15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

16 O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.

17 Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, Lord, hast holpen me, and comforted me.

You can pray the above selections of Psalms everyday if you lie, or you can join in praying the Psalms daily- at least 7 a day, from Psalms 1-150 all the way to the end and back again during the month of Elul!
