ELUL, Speaking Into The 24th Day Of Prayer

Prayers that Awaken the Dawn!

September 12th: READING & PRAYING PSALMS 57-63

Ref: ELUL, OUR 29 DAY BANQUET OF PRAYER… TO HONOR THE KING OF GLORY! ELUL, The Month of The Search… Praying The Lord’s Prayer IN HEBREW & ENGLISH

The Sound a Letter Makes…

  • שִׁיחָה shee’khaw, H7882; a pit (Ps 57:6)
  • שִׂיחָה see’kha, H7881; a conversation, complaint, musing,

The Hebrew Words for a pit and a conversation are made from all the same letters. The only difference between them is the sound of the letter S. In skee’khaw(pit) the S (Hebrew Letter shin) has the Sh sound. In see’khaw, the S (Hebrew Letter sin) makes the plain S sound.

In the dictionary /Strong’s Concordance they are only 1 number apart. (See ref above

What we can glean from this is that, when David says (5:6), “they have digged a pit (shee’ khaw) before us, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves.”

That “pit” was dug with their words. Evidence of a spiritual battle.

David Spoke Hebrew….

All the words that they used to try and pull down David, even while they were being spoken, their own words were digging that pit for them!

As you can see, the word for “conversation” in Hebrew is spelled with exactly the same letters as used in the spelling of the Hebrew word for pit.

David is revealing the irony and the beauty in the Hebrew Language. While his enemies were using their words as weapons and drawing out their swords against him, David was using his words in prayer and giving praises to GOD.

Our enemies are very clever, like fire they try to predict where you will go and cut you off at the pass!

This is the very reason we ought to rejoice when our enemies come against us! We have a secret they have been told about, but cannot comprehend.

There were so many times that David saved the Israelites from the Phillistines, yet he was only repaid with betrayals. They ran to go tell Saul where David was, where or how to catch him, and cut him off. Each time, David had the victory, anyway!

At your darkest moment, crying and worrying, grief, suffering, stress, fear…. never help you! These are not your weapons.

Here’s the BIG Non- Secret, OPEN Secret!

Rejoice when your enemy has out their weapons, and are coming at you with swords and word curses! PRAISE GOD!

It’s OK to have a little righteous indignation… most people will think you’re angry because of what they are doing and they will completely miss the point! Hopefully, you are only upset because “They know not what they do!” If you keep your eye on what is happening to their soul, or what could happen to yours, you can’t help but pray!

If you be the man or the woman of GOD. Your enemies are the ones to be worried!

What you should see is that, the more they come at you, the more they cause their own destructions. This is why they should be worried, but sometimes they are not smart enough to pray for their own soul.

Are We Smart Enough to Pray For Our Own Souls?

This should make us stay in prayer for their souls, and our own. There are some, perhaps a few, that you do not want to find, hung in the noose that they set for you. Then again, there are some you might not be so worried about, right? Pray for your own mind, until you are worried about them!

When believers fight amongst themselves it’s very sad and very dangerous. Of course, we all want our attackers to stop, but more importantly, we should be concerned about the dangers to their own soul. This is what we do not consider.

We all get fed up and some will definitely perceive what you’re going through completely backwards. It is very difficult, I know, to get them to see the bigger picture. Let them stay where they are with it, and just pray that understanding will come. Meanwhile, you pray for their souls.

When You Study Scripture… Always Keep Your Eye on What is Happening to the Soul.

David and Saul were supposed to be on the same side. Yet, Saul was always throwing javelins at David. David was sick of Saul, I’m sure– but he knew something that helped keep him out of the flesh, even when in distress. He knew Saul would eventually lose the favor and protection of GOD. This is what I believe, grieved David’s spirit the most.

David let Saul throw the javelins, and David stayed constantly in prayer and praised the Name of the LORD. These were his weapons of war against his enemy.

David never sought to be the head… he only wanted to serve. Because Saul’s heart was not right, he responded to humility with jealousy. David never prayed to be exalted. David exalted the Name the LORD, over every issue he came up against.

David had Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding. Saul had jealousy, envy and strife.

PSALM 57

Be merciful unto us, O God, be merciful unto us: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.

Your Shadow shall build a home for us, May the nations that serve You take refuge in Your Presence, until these calamities pass by. Your WORD is a haven for us.

I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.

He shall send from heaven, and save us from the reproach of him that would swallow us up. Selah. God shall send forth His mercy and His truth.

My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.

Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.

They have prepared a net for our steps; our soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit (shee’ khaw ) before us, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah.

They fall into the pit they themselves have dug for us with their words, they curse us all the day long, misrepresenting, misinterpreting, misunderstanding… never hitting the mark.

My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.

Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I will awaken the dawn.

oor’ ah; to rouse oneself, wake up …

We call that time of night, the darkest before dawn… the hardest trials come at what feels like, the darkest time of night– the worse time, under the worse circumstances… but David says that he will awaken the dawn

This is an Hebraic way of saying, “I will make the dawn come, I will command the morning!”

“I AM getting through this! I call my breakthrough to me!, THIS NIGHT, THIS MESS, THIS SITUATION, THIS TRIAL, THIS TRIBULATION, THIS FIRE IS OVER!”

The darkest time of night, is midnight… but I am calling my breakthrough to me early! I will awaken the dawn!

I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.

10 For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.

11 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.

AMEN

PSALM 43

Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: FOR I SHALL YET PRAISE HIM, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Thnak You LORD, You Answer Always so Speedily to Our Request. Thank You for protecting those I send to You in Prayer! Thank You that there answers are ever present, their remedies are near to them. You Are GOD ALMIGHTY! and You Are Precious In My Sight!

What LORD, is Your Petition and What is Your Request? You have but to ask, and I will give you half my kingdom!

End Your ELUL, With An Aleph…

Adam in Hebrew is a Powerful Word….

The Hebrew letters convey concepts, images, ideas, symbols and possess numerical value. There is a lot of valuable data packed into each letter of the Hebrew Aleph-Bet, which translates to a great deal of data in each word, as it is constructed of the letters of the aleph-bet. The Hebrew Letters are treasure houses of information.

The Aleph in ADAM-

Aleph represents teaching, leadership, divinity, strength, torah, teacher, leader, power…

DAM means BLOOD in Hebrew…

dam, represents blood, impulsiveness, inclinations

Be an Aleph over the Dam, Control the Blood Impulse…. At One Point Adam failed to rule over his inclinations, over his own blood impulses… which brought death into the world.

When we fail to rule over our evil inclinations, or blood impulses, we can bring death and destruction into our own lives and into the lives of others.

Be an Aleph over the Dam…

Like Wolves That Lay in Wait, They Stalk My Steps…. Devising Mischief Upon Their Beds

PSALM 36

The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

Man convinces himself that GOD is not concerned about his behavior or of what goes on in the world around mankind. Man can do as he pleases.

For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

they appear so lovable, kind, friendly… Yet I struggle to love what’s unloveable about them.

The wicked make sin look attractive, to each other, they are adept at making their evil intent appear innocent, playful, fun, even beneficial, like loyalty they encourage each other in their deceit and wickedness, they strategize together how to bend and twist, plot and plan their every maneuver, trying to disguise their intentional perverse agendas, making themselves unlovable.

The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.

those that hate the good and love the evil

He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.

Those that watch from a distance, stalking my every move…constantly seeking ways to come against me, thwart my plans and efforts to succeed, they rise up early to create problems, cause problems, find fault, apprehend those that stalk me on my way through a simple business day, those that bathe themselves in evil plans all the day long… Apprehend all who seek my life… Those that fight against my right to exist, to live, to breathe...

Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O Lord, thou preservest man and beast.

How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

Help us to perceive reality, by the light of your truth. Help us cast off selfishness and baseless desires..

10 O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

Protect us from the attacks of the wicked and arrogant (Metzudos). Do not let me deviate from my principles because others blame or falsely accuse me, or call me names based on their behaviors – i.e, in cases where the arrogant call me arrogant…

Help Me to preserve my humility and integrity in the face of prideful, and the antagonistic, the sneaky, who move by silence and stealth…

Photo by patrice schoefolt on Pexels.com

Help Me to stay on course, while those that seek ways to attack me out of ignorance, baseless hatred, jealousy or mean spiritedness, while they seek to destroy my path, cripple my resources, or any of their plots, plans or devices, I decree their feet shall fall into their own traps and devices, their plans shall crumble to nothingness. None shall hear them.

12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.

LORD, help me walk in love among wolves.

AMEN

ELUL, THE 20TH DAY OF PRAYER

Strength that Confounds the Wise…

September 8th: READING & PRAYING PSALMS 29-35

Ref: ELUL, OUR 29 DAY BANQUET OF PRAYER… TO HONOR THE KING OF GLORY! ELUL, The Month of The Search… Praying The Lord’s Prayer IN HEBREW & ENGLISH

PSALM 29

THE LORD’S INEFFABLE NAME IS STATED 18 TIMES IN THIS PSALM.

Give unto the Lord (YHVH), O ye mighty sons of the powerful), give unto the Lord (YHVH) glory and strength.

sons of the powerful, i.e. descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, powerful men of righteousness.

Give unto the Lord (YHVH) the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord (YHVH) in the beauty of holiness.

How do you measure splendor and beauty? When the WORD (torah) permeates every aspect of your life, The WORD must be allowed to eliminate anything in your life that is not worthy of a servant of GOD – then beauty emerges, the splendor of Holiness.

The voice of the Lord (YHVH) is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord (YHVH) is upon many waters.

The voice of the Lord (YHVH) is powerful; the voice of the Lord (YHVH) is full of majesty.

The ‘Voice of GOD’ is used only in reference to GOD’s communication with man.

The voice of the Lord (YHVH) breaketh the cedars; yea, the Lord (YHVH) breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.

The voice of the LORD comes in power and majesty. The cedars of Lebanon is a metaphor for those Kings who stood proud and haughty as the mighty cedars. They had to be broken by the WORD of GOD into submission.

He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn (rey-a-meem).

unicorn in scripture symbolizes something of power and strength… something with a long and powerful horn. Lebanon and Siryon, young and powerful nations perhaps

The voice of the Lord (YHVH) divideth the flames of fire.

The Midrash teaches us that when the Ten Commandments were created, they were seared into the stone tablets with flames of fire. It is also said, that we each possesses a spark of GOD within us. It is the WORD of GOD that ignites that spark and turns it into a flaming fire. I have personally witnessed that spark become a flaming fire when students connect to torah for the first time and their 1st ah-hah’ moments occur…

The voice of the Lord (YHVH) shaketh the wilderness; the Lord (YHVH) shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh (Holy).

Kadesh, a.k.a. Holy, and another name for the Wilderness of Sinai, where the children of Israel accepted the torah.

The voice of the Lord (YHVH) maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth (from the root word khaw-saf, meaning to strip bare) the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.

The mighty will be as trees, stripped of their bark. Nations that stand erect and formidable against the weaker nations who are under the covering of GOD, will be made to tremble.

10 The Lord (YHVH) sitteth upon the flood; yea, the Lord (YHVH) sitteth King for ever.

Just as the LORD wiped away most of mankind at the flood and reigned alone with Noah, He will reign again with those that have stood up and claimed Him as their own.

11 The Lord (YHVH) will give strength unto his people; the Lord (YHVH) will bless his people with peace.

The people of GOD gain strength through spiritual attainment, not by physical might or strength. The study of torah, fuels that spiritual attainment and allows us to wield power through GOD’s Weapons- Prayer, Humility, Faith, Joy, Love, Kindness, Mercy, Patience, Silence, etc.

Honestly, in the natural this looks completely impossible, and illogical. Only those separated unto GOD understand and have knowledge of how this is possible, real and effective. This is precisely what confounds the wise.

AMEN

ELUL, THE 19TH DAY OF PRAYER – Labor Day Prayer

Our Prayer For the Nations… Your Labor is Not in Vain

PSALM 22

{To the chief Musician upon Ayeles hashachar, a musical instrument) A Psalm of David.}

Ayeles hashachar, a.k.a a radiant deer, the Jewish Nation, and all those who love GOD are likened to a loving deer- which is devoted to its mate. (Brightening like the dawn, Rashi, Radak)

Isaiah 60:1-3

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

Proverbs 4:18

But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken us? why art thou so far from helping us, and from the words of my roaring?

You LORD, have ALWAYS answered my prayers… Some feel abandoned, You feel so far away, but this can’t be true! Our countries need you, our nations are suffering, people are dying of plague, our leaders need help, they need wisdom, people need truth and someone who can speak it, so that they can hear it. We need Our Yeshua.

O my God, we cry in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises (yeh’shev teh’hee’lote yish’ray’el) of Israel.

Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

As You saved them, save us for the sake of our children, all over this world.

They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

But we are like worms (to’la, scorned and ridiculed by nations, our own brothers and sisters, that are rejoicing at what they hope is our end) and no man; we have become a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

All they that see us laugh us to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

There is no help for them in GOD. They are happy to see the nations of Your People in peril. They can’t see that our deaths, all these deaths, are connected to each other. We need each other to live, to survive. People dismiss us our plea, they open their mouths WIDE to criticize us… even for praying. They speak derisively about our faith and our lives, our faith that many will be saved alive.

Our Fathers and Mothers trusted on Your Name that You would deliver them: “let Him deliver him, seeing he delighted in Him.”

They mock us LORD, they doubt if You will come to our aid, if You will deliver us. How can You not help us now? We refuse to believe that You will not send us help from the sanctuary. You LORD are Faithful. You are OUR Deliverer, In Your Name we Trust!

But thou art He that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts.

You gave us life, and sent us Your Word. We were NOT created for death. Death is not our purpose. We were created for life and life abundantly. We decree abundance back into our lives and those who are struggling LORD. Send them their Yeshua. You are Truth, and You will keep us in the palm of Your Hand.

10 I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly.

11 Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.

12 Many bulls (strong powerful empires, adversaries) have compassed round about us: strong bulls (powerful adversaries) of Bashan have beset us round.

13 They gaped upon us with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

They confess only death and destruction. They watch reports and agree. They commiserate over the situation. They come into agreement with every negative thought and vain imagination about our futures, our lives. They are daily counting death and disregarding the lives, the life they could help. They are calling death to Your People, by their lack of knowledge about Your WORD. Who LORD, is casting down their WORDS with us?

Who LORD, is speaking Life with us? Who will speak life and live? Who believes the report of the LORD with us?

14 We are poured out like water (paralyzed with fear), and all our bones are out of joint: our heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.

Send Us Help from the sanctuary. Send Us agreement, Agree with our prayer LORD.

15 Our strength is dried up like a potsherd; and our tongues cleaveth to our jaws; and thou hast brought us into the dust of death (we sometimes feel like we’re being prepared for death. like this is the end of it all).

But we speak Death to death! We say death must die! We say, our sons and daughters shall live and not die! We say COVID can’t get through prayer!

We’ve hear that our confession is impossible!, so now we confess it even the more, even louder! We serve the GOD of the Impossible! Impossible is bread for us!

16 For dogs have compassed us: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed us: they pierced our hands and our feet.

dogs… beast that surround us and seek to tear at our flesh, not only bulls, but now dogs come at us like mobs, from the most basest places of the earth. (paraphrased from Ibn Ezra)

17 I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

I can count all my bones (Radak). Sometimes, I feel like a skeleton existing… like a passenger in my own day, walking behind myself, disengaged from my own life.

18 They part our garments among them, and cast lots upon our vesture.

They seek to destroy us on the cross that we serve! But we will not be moved. People just want what we have, our name in Christ, our inheritance, everything that You have given us, in Your Name. They desire our mantle of Royalty (Ibn Ezra), they want us to give up our crown for destiny, our anointing, our life in the Messiah.

19 But be not thou far from me, O Lord: O my strength, haste thee to help me.

20 Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.

21 Save me (ho’she’yay’nee, from the root yah’shaw, deliver me) from the lion’s mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns (strength, power) of the wild oxen (those powers that rise up against me).

22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

23 Ye that fear the Lord, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.

Praising GOD according to your personal level of closeness. Those who once served out of fear, may now, I pray, serve You out of love.

24 For He hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath He hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, He heard.

25 My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear Him.

I praise because YOU are Faithful. You LORD, will always come for me. When there is no help to be found for me on earth or in people, You LORD are assurance, You are my help. You are the reason why I can praise, with no natural answer in sight. You are my ever present, supernatural answer, invisible, 360 degree answer. When You agree with my prayers, EVERYTHING, falls into place and is in right alignment.

26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek Him: your heart shall live for ever.

Our hearts will no longer suffer the anguish of exile from GOD. He will satisfy the humble and they shall praise Him.

27 All the ends of the world shall remember (za’kar) and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

28 For the kingdom is the Lord’s: and He is the governor among the nations.

29 All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before Him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

30 A seed shall serve Him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

We are that remnant, that shall serve the LORD.

31 They shall come, and shall declare His righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that He hath done this.

Our children shall hear of Your deeds, They shall hear of our faith… We will not fail to tell them. Even now, we are declaring Your righteousness to a nation yet unborn.

AMEN

Blessings over all the nations that participate in reading this blog. I pray for your seed and your seeds seed. I pray that GOD honor and keep you and increase your strength. I pray that your garments will keep you protected from the snare of the fowler… I prayer that you never remove your garments of prayer. Your Labor is not in vain. May GOD always find you dwelling in your tents… Amen.

ELUL, Deliver Us From Evil

Preserve us from the violent man

September 5th: REVISITING PSALMS 140

ELUL, OUR 29 DAY BANQUET OF PRAYER… TO HONOR THE KING OF GLORY! ELUL, The Month of The Search… Praying The Lord’s Prayer IN HEBREW & ENGLISH

There’s annotation in the Book of Psalms – (Interlinear Translation, The Schottenstein Edition by Mesorah) that is prefaced before Psalm 140 that reads, “A person who feels powerless to combat the evil and deceit that threaten to engulf them must place his trust in GOD.”

It leads with a message that tell us, “The venom of a spider is under it’s lips, Selah. They spin webs with their deceitful tongue. Which paints quite the picture of the venomous foes we deal with on occasion. That person who puts on a pretense of working with you or getting along, only to strike in silence when unseen.

At the same time, our own tongues can be so unruly, so lethal… poison can also reside under our very own lips.

On the other hand, the snakes tongue passes through a notch on their lip. This allows for the tongue to pass out of their mouth without ever having to open their mouths. Mirroring another enemy that comes against us. One whose mouth we may never see open against us, but whose tongue is quick to strike and leaves a deadly trail of lies, innuendo, accusations, that undermine and destroy reputations.

Living so out of touch with nature, can place us at a great disadvantage. We could learn so much by watching the behaviors of various creatures, they could actually improve our wisdom and knowledge of mankind. At the very least, we can see parallels.

David captures these parallels in many of his songs, such as this one, which I believe are for the purpose of heightening our observations skills in order to increase our discernment. Nature is a useful tool for this purpose.

Let’s Pray.

PSALM 140

Deliver us, O Lord (YHVH), from the evil man: preserve us from the violent man;

Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war.

They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders’ poison is under their lips. Selah.

Keep us, O Lord (YHVH), from the hands of the wicked; preserve us from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow our goings.

The proud have hid a snare for us, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for us. Selah.

We said unto the Lord (YHVH), Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O Lord (YHVH).

O God the Lord (YHVH), the strength of our salvation, thou hast covered our head in the day of battle.

Grant not, O Lord (YHVH), the desires of the wicked: further not their wicked devices; lest they exalt themselves. Selah.

As for the head of those that compass round about us, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

Cause the heads of those who rise up against me, that spread deadly poison against my career, my reputation, my family, my name, my friends, etc. let them be buried by their own poison of their own wicked devices.

10 Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again.

11 Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

12 We know that the Lord (YHVH) will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor.

13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.

Those that live to serve wicked purposes, those that lie, deceive, evade truth have no cause to give thanks to You. Those that serve you with one side of their mouth and abuse Your People with the other side, are only deceiving themselves and those that follow them.

We ask you to release their prisoners LORD. Those that have been poisoned with lies, those that have been blinded by the pretense of loyalty, kindness, integrity, honor. Reveal the mischief in their hearts, for every noose they have hung for Your People, let them fall by the trap they have set for us (Book of Esther).

Save us from the violent and treacherous kind, that lay in wait. We give praise to You LORD, for You maintain the cause of the afflicted, and uphold the right hand of the poor. The righteous give thanks unto Your Name, and shall dwell in Your Presence Forever!

AMEN

ELUL, THE 18TH DAY OF PRAYER

Choosing to Dwell in the Mountain of GOD…

September 6th: READING & PRAYING PSALMS 15-21

Ref: ELUL, OUR 29 DAY BANQUET OF PRAYER… TO HONOR THE KING OF GLORY!

PSALM 15

Lord, who shall abide (ya-gur, temporary sojourn) in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell (yish-kon, take up permanent residence) in thy holy hill?

We do not have to look far for GOD’s Holy Mountain, or Holy Hill. It’s the place where you stand right now. It’s the territory that you occupy for the LORD, right now. All those who have taken up permanent residence in His Presence, in His Spirit. All those that dwell in His Tents.

He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour (ray-ah, those with whom you have constant contact).

Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles. Prov 21:23

There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up. Prov 21:20

In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth (o’say, does, makes) these things (eh’leh, these things) shall never be moved.

The person that acts this way as a matter of principle, their character requires it. Should the person falter or temporarily miss the mark, they shall get back up again.
